Advertisments Promote Obesity in Children

In summarizing Eric Schilosser, essay titled, Kid Kustomers, it is clear advertising companies have the monopoly when it comes to targeting children.  There is not much a parent, or the public, can do to fight such a onslaught.  Mr. Schilossers essay reveals how advertising is everywhere, on the programs children view on TV, the Internet (facebook), and now, even in schools.  http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,601524,00.html.
Advertising and fast food companies have always been juxtapose entities.  Children are not being spared by the damage caused by such reckless disregard for the health of children in our society today.   It is no secret fast food is the cause of obesity around the globe, moreover, Mr. Schilosser hit it on the button, when summarizing the effects of advertising on a family when a child sees something he or she wants in a store, and begins to through a tantrum, with most parents either not in the mood to say no, or just to embarrassed or afraid of other peoples reactions were the parent have to restrain the child.
Though some fast food companies have changed marketing strategies on fast food advertisement and the social medias covering the obesity epidemic, most fast food joints today pretty much offer the menu.
