After reviewing Marie Winn's excerpt on "Television" The Plug-In Drug, and her opinion on how television emerges as the important influence in children 's lives today, I agree with Ms. Winn's opinion on how television has completely changed the fabric of family life and values altogether. However, I was somewhat surprised she did not mention the health effects on children when watching to much TV as TV viewing is one of the leading culprits in child obesity.I will be further addressing the issue of obesity in my next two blogs, when covering Video games and advertising.
